Enhancing Project Performance through training, coaching and mentoring.
Enhancing Project Performance by asking the right questions
Presentation Abstract:
Mind reading and telepathy are skills that a Project Manager would love to have. If you had those skills, you wouldn’t need this session. Think back to frustrations you have had on past projects. Think back to the reasons for project failure. I will wager that many of the causes of those failures and aggravations have to do with unclear or inadequate communications, invalid assumptions or missing information.
This is a presentation on how, when and who to ask questions of to help your project succeed. This presentation will look at some key communication skills specifically related to asking questions and the importance of questions on a project. Samples of key questions will also be given.
Presentation Abstract:
Project performance is not primarily dependent on skills. Human dynamics play a large role in communications, motivation and ultimately, project success. Profiles can be used to understand your own personal behaviour and identify your preferred working styles. They can also be used to identify the same elements for your team so that you, as the project manager, can set up the project environment for maximum productivity and teamwork.
Using Profiles to Enhance Project Performance
J.A.G. Associates will be pleased to come to your next Project Management event to make a short presentation. There is no charge for the presentation. If we are already travelling in your area, there are no travel costs.
PRINCE2 vs. PMBOK - Friend or Foe - NOW PRESENTING
Presentation Abstract:
PRINCE 2 -(Projects in a controlled environment) is a detailed Stage Gate Project Methodology developed by the UK Government and is now a standard across the UK. It is taking Europe by storm and is quickly spreading across North America. Does PRINCE2 contradict PMBOK or is is the right amount of detail to supplement the framework presented by PMBOK.
This presentation will address the similarities and differences between PRINCE2 and PMBOK and how they can work well together.
Enhancing Project Performance: by Understanding People

A practical guide to providing leadership that minimizes project performance barriers in a project setting.

During this presentation we will discuss the factors that affect on-the-job performance, why people don’t do what is expected of them and things you can do in advance, to minimize the performance issues.
